A Bit (More) About SC
I’ve been a San Francisco-based author since 2010. Now, I'm living in the PNW and loving it. I'm a staff writer for Theme Parkology, a growing production company based out of California, and get to work on things from full length feature documentaries to short animations to podcast programs. Aside from writing novels, as an award-winning playwright, I enjoy spending time developing my ideas into adaptations for stage and screen.
Likes: Fun socks, tattoos, predictable romance novels, gardening, art, everything rainbow, boating, and Nirvana (okay, that last one is a LOVE).
Dislikes: The feel of newsprint on my fingers, Twizzlers, using a hammer, ironing, litter, cold soups, fluorescent lighting, and Good and Plenty.
Writing as Sam Alban in collaboration
Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, Sam and Jay met in the wild and uncertain times of San Francisco, 1999. In a strategic attempt to survive Y2K, they forged a friendship that has spanned over two decades. After making a huge life decision to move out of state, Jay (and his wife) became Oregonians. Loving the vibe of the quirky PNW, Sam followed suit a few years later, albeit in a different city. But something was still missing...a more collaborative something. Having an interest in screenwriting, Sam approached Jay and convinced him to join her in writing the first season of Heroes of Extinction. The two now work as a writing team with a focus on action-driven material with an emotional edge.
