Biography

S.C. Alban was born and raised in Northern California. She is the eldest of three children and often spent much of her childhood playing make believe with her two younger sisters.

After graduating from San Francisco State University, where she majored in English literature, S.C. travelled for a year. She ultimately moved back to Northern California where she obtained two Education Specialist credentials and a M.A. in Education. But, her passion for writing and storytelling never died. She began writing at night.

In 2014, Solstice Publishing released her debut novel, A Life Without Living, Book One in The Strega Series. Since then, she had released several short stories and worked on several adaptations of novels to film and television. Barely Living Alive, Book Two in The Strega Series will release November 15th, 2016.

S.C. is also currently working on a YA series known as The Mythical Creatures Collection under the pen name Samantha Stephens. The first novel, Playing Cupid, is currently available for agents. Subsequent titles in the collection, Finding Luck and Pixie Perfect, are currently under development.

Much of S.C.'s inspiration is found in the natural beauty of Northern California where she currently resides with her family, three cats, and three (terribly) lazy guard dogs. She enjoys music, backyard gardening, hiking and kayaking.
